Bears are out on Vancouver Island
I was doing a nice 40km ride around Courtenay today, and i saw 3 black bears; 2 cubs and their mom, just off the road. Highway 19, just after the exit to Courtenay, and before the highway crosses lake trail road. They were on the other side of the deer fence, so I thought it was safe to to stop for a picture. Mom got them all out of there before I could get my iPhone out of jacket pocket.
