I haven't tried the Big Apple, but if you are interested in trying out Supremes, i bought some tires from Bike-Discount.de for a lot less than what i could find on ebay or amazon. Shipping takes a while (3-4 weeks), but without any issues. I have Supremes in 700x28, x32 & x50. Smaller ones are lighter and quicker, 2" is comfy but a bit heavy.
