The Shimano EF65 brake/shift levers should be a compatible replacement for your A10's and can be found under $30. They'll work with either cantilever or v-brakes -- there's a little red selector tab inside the lever where the brake cable attaches. Set one way, it's for v-brakes. Unscrew it and turn it around and the levers will pull the right amount of cable for cantis.
