Central Florida 1000K (11 October 2014)

All--

The details of the Central Florida 1000K are now out, and you can check them out here.

There are no "easy" 1000Ks, but this ride is aimed squarely at those who are perhaps new to this distance or are thinking about doing PBP for the first time next year, to gain the experience, confidence, and prequalification that will hopefully make your PBP more fun and successful. The terrain is not challenging, the weather is typically good this time of year, and route design brings riders back to the start/finish each night, where it is very easy to self-support -- no drop bags or logistical hassles. To those for whom 1000s and 1200s are old hat, you'll still have a blast. I've made an art out of finding the most obscure hill-jack towns and tree-canopied country lanes.

Hope to see you on the road. /MessagefromtheFloridatourismbureau
