As for your rat issue, if the health inspectors find anything WHILE THEY'RE THERE then presto license yanko. My wife and I owned a food establishment with some partners and you didn't have to miss very much at all to get knocked down to a B. Maybe it's different in your area. I will tell you that I worked at a McDs when I was a teenager and that place sparkled about as much as a place that fries everything can sparkle. There can be a noticeable difference between company stores and franchised stores, and of course, that was 30 years ago. I don't eat at McDonalds anymore for lots of other reasons and seeing any rat poop would do it for me too.
