They've been working for me. I'm running them on the rear of my converted (city) MTB, and Sun Rino-Lytes are all I run. They're great brakes, but are so wide I had a conflict with my Nitto Big Front Rack with them and so am running an ancient set of XTR's on the front. I did recently convert from 1.5" tires and fenders to match, to 2.15" tires (Schwalbe Big Bens) and now with the big SKS P65 fenders my straddle cable is rubbing on the fender a little bit. I'm about to move these tires and fenders over to another bike I'm building up, so I've held off on modifying the fenders for the moment, but if I continue to have issues with them rubbing a little bit, I plan on cutting away a bit of the edge of the fender on each side (just near the brakes) with my dremel tool. Without fenders, I bet I could run a wider tire on there, certainly a taller one.
