Here in Illinois we had probably the most anti-cop-filming laws in the country, with aggressive enforcement in Chicago. The state fought all the way to the Supreme Court (which declined to hear their appeal) to keep them, and lost. It's over for out-and-out making it against the law, so police are going to use "creative" tactics to do an end around citizens' rights to film them. Police are trying desperately to put the cell phone camera back in the bottle.
