I bought a Giant Escape last summer and have put about 1500 miles on it. I never did get used to the stock saddle although it did get better after a while. I have switched to another and am somewhat happier. I bought a road bike in March and haven't rode the Giant much the last few months since I am trying to get used to the road bike and get it set up comfortably. I do still hop on my Escape every once in while and when I do I remember all the things I like about it. I can ride it on roads that I would never attempt on the road bike. I love the shifters, and its just a fun bike to ride. For a hybrid its fast! I also bought some inexpensive biking shorts from Academy and they help, but I finally bought some good bibs with a lot better chamois and they are WAY more comfortable.
