The Polar V650 is mostly equivalent to the Garmin Edge 500/510.
If you were unhappy with the 810, don't expect to be happy with the 1000.
I was happy with my Edge 200 and I was happy with my Edge 500.. The 810 was buggy as all heck until the recent update (3.0 I think).. The 3.0 update did fix almost all my issues but by that time it left a sour taste in my mouth so it's on the way to it's new home..
I am off to ride with the 1000 now and will post more later.. I am doing a 36 mile route today so we will see how it goes..
