East Childrensburg is excellent. My daughter is 22! But she fits in very well, as if she's lived there all her life.
i like to think my friends and i pioneered the area and i made it safe for your daughter and her compatriots. when we moved there, there were literally packs of wild dogs and tumbleweeds of garbage blowing through the streets. the first 10 or so of us had an agreement to meet each other's girlfriends at the subway if we were not going to be home. we had a system.

cycling from bushwick to kissena park or corona park/flushing is an amazing day trip.
