Maybe it'll be fast enough that it feels like one of the more interesting crits? I think it's interesting how different stuff like Cat's Hill and Santa Cruz Classic (hill sprint every lap) are from Red Kite type crits. Flat 4 corner crits seem extremely mild in comparison.
Its a bit of a drive for you, but you may like the Auburn crit (its on Sunday). The course is about a mile that starts with a climb, then loops back around with a fast technical descent (3 90-degree turns) back into old town. The hill isn't a killer, but combined with the descent things get strung out. Fast guy's strava of the course:
