It has been impossible to convince him. He thinks I want the upgrade because they have the Shift 3 in the store (as opposed to the Shift 2 in the warehouse) and that it's just to have it sooner
. I would have never thought of upgrading (even the Shift 2 is an upgrade from the Shift 1 I was originally considering) but, GIVEN that he decided to pay $90 more, I would have preferred to put that money into a better bike. Thanks for your replies.
