I should have asked to take a photo and engaged him more in conversation. Bit he was being adjusting spokes for a Korean tourer.
Anyway, it is NOSELESS, a totally unsexy, unstreamlined, ugly piece of work. It was as if two pieces rather snub and I do not know if it is related the the back and forth suspension of. the seat post, but clearly health (no doubt men's health) and comfort were the goal not looking cool.
So, my question is do any of you guys and gals riding folding bikes, especially 16" ones or Brompton/Flamingo/MIT/Neobike etc use noseless saddles.
If not, why not?
I'm using a Spiderflex on my Xootr Swift. It has a little spring in it, and between this saddle and Big Apple tires, I have all the suspension that I need with this frame. The Spiderflex is not the lightest seat, so if you're going for as light as possible this might not be your choice. I used to have a saddle called The Seat, which I used on another bike; though I never used it on my folder, I liked it a lot. I have an acquaintance who has been using The Seat on his Brompton for quite a few years. Xootr also has designed a noseless saddle that is available on their site. I have no experience with it, but it has an interesting design.
