Well I know that I'm not doing it for style, my commuter looks dumb (mini aero bars, aero brake levers, water bottle cage, anatomic drops, freewheel, etc). I purpose built my cheap commuter for a high-ish cruise speed since I commute to work on a long flat straight and I hate waking up early.
Plus, I only weigh about 135, my starting inertia is far less than most riders.
