If one hasn't been involved in a collision or had a moving violation in a good number of years, my state will just send a renewal through the mail...answer a few questions, send the money, and with a few weeks, a new license arrives in the mail. So funny to see some people's license photos that haven't been updated in years.
Of course, that all ends at the age of 70, when one has to renew in person every time, so not looking forward to that.
