Build questions for Disc Trucker
I am going to build up a disc trucker for spouse, who obtained an inexpensive frame.
The plan is to put trekking bars on this bike. He would like mountain bike gearing. Because it has trekking bars, which will take flat bar shifters, can I just order a mountain bike groupset, like a Deore 610? What about the front derailleur? I assume it needs to be top pull and clamp on the bike. Correct? How do I make sure the groupset has the right front derailleur. The one Deore 610 group I saw just said FD610. I can't tell whether that derailleur will work.
Guidance?
