thanks! upon reading further, it seems that i dont have a set of Dura Ace brifters, instead they are Sora 3 x 7 brifters
snagged both of them on eBay for $35 shipped to my door -- sooooo that works for me
looks like i'll need to pick up some new longer shifter cables and throw those on. Shouldn't be too TOO difficult...... right? haha
anyway - i'm liking what i see on this forum - seems to be a great community here
