The hobby within the hobby. The secondary cycling related activity. I enjoy wrenching on bicycles and will buy an older bike in need of TLC from time-to-time. That (and reading the forum) keeps me busy [in the] off season. Even cyclists that use bicycles exclusively as transportation can find a cycling related hobby... within their cycling.

I just bought a new bicycle and I am currently making some minor changes.
