Pretty clear that your vote is for the Gary Fisher. Anyone have any opinion on the ride of carbon? I have a 2009 Specialized Tarmac SL, and comparing its ride to my steel 853 bike... Well, there is no comparison. That's the only carbon bike I've ever ridden though, and I'm intrigued to ride another carbon frame to see if it's more comfortable.

I checked out the Cross CXX. For a steel bike equipped with Sram Apex, the price is right! It's a shame they don't sell only the frame
