Jamis Trail X2 Grenade - 2014 - $400 (plus $100 of free accessories)
GT Timberline 1.0 Mech 29R White - 2014 -$400 (plus $100 of free accessories)
GT Aggressor 1.0 White - 2014 - $440 (plus $100 of free accessories)

Look on eBay - you'll be able to find an early to mid 90s rigid MTB DB steel rig between $200-$400. They're mucho better than the entry level alloy entry MTBs you can find today.
