SRAM Rroad bike trim issue
This my first go at SRAM road bike components. I've installed SRAM Rival on my Trek, replacing the Tiagra it came with. I'm not sure if the FD is set up right or what. When shifting from the large chain ring down to the small chain ring, I can find & use the trim steps. However when shifting from the small up to the large, the shifter doesn't seem to have any trim positions. I have to shift in the large then back down a half step (or whatever the interval is.) Not being familiar nor rode a bike with SRAM before that doesn't seem right. Is this how SRAM is supposed to work, is something not adjusted right or what am I missing?
