Here's three (sue me).
Does anyone know if there was more to this than a battle of lyrics? I suspect Skynard got their feelings hurt a bit over Southern Man, fought back, and got their Sweet Home handed to them in Alabama by Neil Young.
Southern Man: "Southern man, better keep your head, don't forget what your good book said...Now your crosses are burning fast..."
Sweet Home Alabama: "...Hope Neil Young will remember, Southern Man don't need him around anyhow."
Alabama: "...Banjos playin' through the broken glass...
See the old folks, tied in white robes, hear the banjos, don't it take you down home?...
Your Cadillac has got a wheel in the ditch and a wheel on the track...
You got the rest of the Union to help you along; what's goin' wrong?..." (Dang, Neil, quit holding back and let it out)
