Updating my post from June. Just returned from NLT.
I did the loop from Carnelian Bay-TC-Truckee-Brockway Summit-King's Beach-CB. Excellent ride. Stopped at the California Welcome Center in Truckee for water and restroom. A local dragged me up Brockway....thank you Billy! He kept a steady stream of encouraging remarks and let me know how far each marker was. It was tough, no doubt.
Also did Brockway from King's Beach a couple of times before breakfast on days my wife and I had plans. Managed some decent climb times.
Next summer, I'm planning for the entire lake circuit. Will probably post here looking for others who could join me...definitely strength in numbers on those narrow roads. I expect we'll be there again around 22nd of July for two weeks.
