bike paintings

Hello everyone.

I am a huge bike fan. in my free time I fix bikes. Its my hobby. On occasion I sell some but I make no profit really. I have a question though....I bought a bike for $20. Its a reighley mountain bike. I sanded it off with 420 grit paper, primed and put a few coats of a nice color. All in all it cost me about $25 to fix it and I have offer to sell it for $110. The problem is, when I paint bikes I paint over the letters too. Nowhere on the bike does it say its brand. I have same issue with every bike that I painted.

My question is this. Is there a way to avoid or rewrite something on the bike? I would like to write random things too but haven't figured a way on how to write or protect something written when I have to repaint the whole bike?

Anyone?

PS. If my question is in wrong category please replace it. Thank you.
