Well that turned into a real sufferfest. It was warm as expected, but there was also a strong wind out of the south. I had hoped to do the 100m, but the combination of the heat and strong wind led me to decide to take the shortcut at hells gate. I was there plenty early (11am) but I could tell that the strong head winds on the way back were going to make for a difficult finish. Ended up with 70 miles
