Despite owning and loving one Bianchi I don't really know the Bianchi models or years. But consider this: It has a Campy Gran Sport RD, not considered high-end. It has no obvious frame tubing identifier or even model name. It is missing crank, pedals, FD, cables, brakes and brake levers, saddle. Those things are not cheap. So the initial investment of $100 will be less than half of your total cost but the end result will not have any intrinsic value except as merely a good bike. It could probably be turned into a very nice riding bike, but it will not be the sort that of bike that anyone would have been searching for specifically. All of which is to say that though it can probably be made into a nice bike, it would be not be a good investment. You will not earn your retirement savings by re-selling it. Maybe you can turn a small profit.
