How was your visit to Columbus? Did you find many good routes to ride?

I lived near the Ohio State University campus from 1992-1998 and found it to be a very bicycle-friendly city. The main north-south thoroughfares to downtown (Neil Avenue, Summit Ave, 4th Street) all had bicycle lanes. Most buildings downtown have bicycle parking. I was an avid mountain biker at the time: my friends and I would hit the dirt trails off the Olentangy River at least twice a week. For more serious mountain bike trails, on weekends we would drive down to the Wayne National Forest & Hocking Hills areas of the state (SE of Columbus).

I'm not sure of the bicycle landscape of the city now, but considering the progressive mindset in Columbus I would imagine it is better than when I lived there. I hope you had a good visit.
