thanks bnb , suburb of detroit ,and that is my thinking too, i am no bike expert but this style seems to not have much value compared to other old schwinn crusiers or sting ray bikes, what this has going for it is the original condition and the owner states it is the 1st year the varsity was made as a 10 speed and he is the original owner , bought it when he was 14 now he is 67
