I have purchased 3 Mektronics. They were the best thing ever on the tandem. At high RPM they still shift as well as the Di2. I do not like that I could do better with other ceramic pulleys. Then radio waves do not have air friction. It does stick out, but is smooth. So I figure its slightly worse than a normal shifter and with the lack of cables - better.
9 speed is slightly more precise than 11 speed.
We only need a lower gear for starting then 1-2 for riding, other than a hill course.
