One year I rode south from Badlands NP to Gordon NE and on west through Chadron and Harrison into WY. Really nice. North central NE is pleasant also, particularly the Niobrara River east of Valentine. You can follow some cool dirt roads right through the National Scenic River Preserve and beyond.

This looks great. Have you done a tour here? I've heard a lot of good things about north NE for bike riding. I'm not far as I'm in IA.
