IMO, X319/A319 rims are really heavy and complete overkill for commuting. unless someone is a mega-clyde who pops curbs every 5 minutes something like a mavic open pro 650b (old school) or velocity fusion (fancy but cheap) would work better. lace them up to cheap xt 6-bolt hubs with light butted spokes and you will have a bomb proof wheel that weighs ~1750 gm for $400. if you want to save some $ deore hubs are great too.
