Well, I made it home last night. From Edwardsville, I drove to Hannibal Mo for a pickup, and had sunshine and cold weather all the way from there into Michigan. Hit a bit of tricky driving in mid Michigan, but it wasn't too bad.
But one of my son's friends, who is also a driver, posted on facebook last night that he was stranded outside East Aurora Ny, stuck on the highway with everything shut down. He had no food in the cab, which I think was an incredible lack of foresight on his part, seeing as how he is diabetic.
I was quite worried about him, but he posted this morning that he had been rescued and taken to a hotel.
So, I guess I'm not going to keep whining about missing out on a ride.
