If it's from 1959, it probably doesn't have an eccentric BB. I'm guessing it's either got some funky left side timing, or the single front/dual rear chainring setup for timing. There's possibly some little idler wheel in there too. The latter setup is the easier one to replace, as all you'll need is a cheap 1 piece crank with the same size chainring as the back set.
