I remember when I used to be into motorsports the mantra was always "better brakes and traction in the corners will always beat straight line power and aerodynamics when on a track with actual turns" of course, it's best to have both, but I assume the loss in aero advantage can be made up for with the ability to brake later into the corners and better braking modulation.
