Thanks for the general info but still looking for answers to my questions. I ended up getting some 35s for both bikes and will report back when I collect more/miles data. I found this great article however in Bicycling about tires, "Know your rubber." The contact patch info regarding turning vs. traction is pretty interesting about a tire's footprint, I saved this article in my cycling file.
