I just pulled a pair of extremely stubborn crank arms off a Viscount frame I picked up on Craigslist several months ago. The puller threads had already been stripped out by the previous owner and they had resisted multiple attempts with heat, penetrating oil, Jacobs chuck remover wedges etc. Finally got it with a two-arm gear puller from Harbor Freight and a 2' cheater pipe on a breaker bar:
