Back then, I loved tearing through neighborhoods on a BMX bike. My idea is to recreate some of those BMX attributes that I liked so much, in a 26" wheel bike with a little more top speed. I recently got a 90's Bridgestone CB3 frame and fork off EBay. The CB3 was one of the early hybrids, but back then they had 26" wheels and they called them city bikes. I'm gonna run cantilever brakes and use SS converted MTB wheels with 26x1.5 slicks. It's going to have drop bars, aero brake handles and flat pedals so I can just jump on and off. I haven't settled in on the gearing yet, but I want it kind of tall. I want to be able to cruise 15-16mph and still be able to hop curbs. I don't know if that's a realistic goal or if I even have the legs for it, but I'm gonna have a lot of fun trying!
Welcome to this thread. This sounds like a really cool project. Please post your existing bikes, which look really nice, especially the LiteSpeed.
