Actually, I'm pretty doubtful that it's stolen. The serial number is easily removable, not even a cable guide in the way. That would have been done prior to painting it. Also too much money spent on paint. Base/clear paint is probably worth the low end value of the bike. This bike is what's known as a bike shop custom. An owner buys it as an incomplete bike, takes it to a bike shop to be disassembled, takes the frame somewhere to be painted, and then back to the bike shop to be built with cheap low end parts. It happened no less than six times in the three years I worked at a bike shop. They get into the project, and then freak out at the cost of higher end parts. Therefore it gets built as cheaply as possible. It all functioned too well to have been built by a DIY'r.,,,,BD
