Today I made my first foray into a volunteer run community bike shop and overhauled the bottom bracket and headset in my '83 Peugeot. I also stopped in the LBS to price out tires for the same. I learned how not paying attention to what you're doing can ruin a perfectly good crank arm, and how lucky I am that the volunteer shop happened to have an exact match on hand.
