Great thanks. That little lip on the crescent section confused me as it looked perfect for holding and directing a control cable. I guess it's just to provide added strength and additional surface area for that chain slap protection. I'll have to keep my eyes open for one in actual use as I've not seen one yet. Some people like the braze-ons all over the frames, but for me having all those chrome clips is like all the chrome on a 1950's automobile. Yes it requires more work to keep them clean, but IMHO it sure makes the bike look classy!
