OK, folks, starting to think about a meal Friday night?
We had excellent Italian last year, and it's a good option.

Would be great to have enough for a banquet room.
There are at least 5 coming from my area, so it should not be hard to get a bucket of folks.
Mine all signed up before the contest, so I won't be eligible for the free jersey.

2 of my area's group are going to ride the BRP the next week, and are renting a cabin, so if anyone is interested, they'd like company for any nights you want to stay....

Blatant Promotion:
1-This is about as reasonable a ride as you can get.
2-The hills are not ginormous, they're just there, and they're beautiful.
3-You can't beat the camping accommodations: free outside, with locker rooms.
4-You can't beat the indoor camping accommodations: $10 with locker rooms.
5-Good route, good support. I've never been able to figure why this event doesn't have thousands.

So, if you're hesitant, don't be. seypat talked me into this last year, and I met rccardr there.
It was great fun, a great ride, and killer scenery. Totally unlike some rides with carbon commando's acting like pro's.
Last year, the felowship amongst riders was great. Some really nice young guys were interested in the old steel, etc.
I think it's because there's a wee bit of apprehension knowing you are going to climb for 13 miles.
That's all it is, though, a wee bit, and I didn't see anyone bonk.
