If have a look at the models and specs in the Trekking series, you'll see the same model names that are in the MTB series, you'll also see that the 10 speed shifters and derailleurs are Dynasys too.
It would have helped knowing this since this is the second derailleur I've had to order.

This is what I'm gonna get here:

Shimano XT FD-M780 Top-Swing Front Derailleur

It doesn't say whether it's a dual pull or not though. I'm gonna need bottom pull that's a top swing.

It also seems like there is the same models that only go to a 42 tooth outer ring. See here:

Shimano XT M780 Top Swing 3x10 Front Mech | Chain Reaction Cycles

Other option I was thinking was going with Shimano Sora (this is for a touring bike), but this M780 derailleur seems like it's the way to go. Also I looked up the stats on these and they have an M780-3 and M780-6 model with no apparent differences in the link you sent me. Did Shimano make a typo for the max ring that one of these can fit?

or are the retailers (Chain Reaction Cycles) mistaken about the max ring size?

Maybe we'll never know.....
