I'll begin by admitting that I could have much more off-road skill. Clipless pedals have never worked for me when riding single-track. After buying a FTB three months ago, I have ridden with clips and with platforms, preferring the latter because I can more quickly get a foot on the ground. Note: I'm not saying that everyone would need this.

Winter is almost over (yes, mid-May) here, and I am really enjoying the bike on the rocky single-track nearby. I run 5 psi in the tires and I can climb while standing without spinning/slipping the rear tire.
