I heard back from the Ludwig XIV owner. He likes it a lot. He was concerned that @ around $5.5k (for what he ordered) it wouldn't meet his expectations. It's different for sure, some really like it while others don't see what the big deal is. For the money you are going to spend on a Ludwig XIV you could also get a very nice chain drive bike, it comes down to what will make you most happy for the $$ spent.
