Probably depends on the tire. I've got 26x1.95" Kenda Happy Mediums on mine LHT and it's a tight squeeze to get the side lugs past the brakes at anything above 40 psi. A slick/semi-slick with a round tread profile would be no problem. Front and rear are about the same in this regard.
