For the cheap aka "thrifty", use a pet collar tag, which you can order with whatever engraved info you want, in plastic or stainless steel. In addition to the traditional round tags meant to dangle from a collar, there are slotted rectangular tags meant to ride on a collar. The latter will fit on a watch band or a velcro strip placed around your wrist. A couple years ago, we had a discussion about what info to put on the tag. I chose to include name, age, medical conditions, medications, emergency contact on a stainless steel tag that rides flush on my watchband.
