There are a couple of sources Vintage Trek and Retobike where you can find old catelogs.

You need to post a few pictures. My wife has a 2001 Trek 8000. I know that bike.

The problem you have is that I'm not sure if a solid pink is an original color and you have what may be a mix of possibly 1999, 2000 and 2001 parts.

I think Icon stems and bars were gone by 2001. There was a recall in 2000 for specific Icon stems and I think that Trek had moved onto Bontrager. My wife's bike has Bontrager.

The 2001 Trek catelog shows an option for Red Rolf wheels on the last page. My wife's bike has the standard black Rolf wheels.

For 2001 16" was a WSD size. My wife's bike is not WSD and it is 15-1/2".

The 2001 headbadge is the crappy foam one.

A picture of the fork will probably be very beneficial.

Added: Our son has a 1999 Trek 8500, but I built that from the frame so the components won't match the bike, year, or anything else.
