The shifters are mounted setup incorrectly, these a downtube shifters that are basically mounted upside down on the stem, they probably work allright. But I would either transfer them to the correct mounting on the down or getting some actual stem shifters. With the current setup you lose the nice crisp shifting and a lot of the advantages of the really nice power shifters. They mount like this.
