I have an old Sachs 5 speed (
Pentasport H5111), 1980s type gear hub. It has a single shifter for the two cables, works fine. Is the SA hub made differently, making it difficult to have a simpler shifter function? At least with the added derailleur, you end up with a lot of shifters.
