I saw a guy once on a TT bike on a very heavily used local trail. The trail is paved but showing many signs of wear--bumps and lumps and irregularities. He was riding with a buddy who had a road bike. I rode behind them for a while, and I was frustrated with a pace of some 20km/h because of the road condition and various bike traffic, pedestrians, and runners. I imagined I looked pretty silly in my road bike and kit. The guy on the TT bike looked even more so. Don't be that guy!
